Connect and Manage Locations

Keen to know what exactly is a recommended server and how it works? The recommended server connects you automatically to a server/location proposed by our built-in algorithm, designed according to your geographical region. Want to connect to a recommended server? Stick to the instructions below. 👇

• Users trying ExtremeVPN for the first time can simply click on the Connect button in the center, and our app will automatically connect you to a recommended server.

• If you’re not a new user, click on the Recommended server icon, and you will be connected to a suggested server.

• You will see the Connected status update if your connection gets successful. To disconnect, click on the button again at the center of the ExtremeVPN application.

What if you want to connect to a specific location? Don’t worry, ExtremeVPN has got you covered. We have over 6500 server locations based in more than 78 countries in 96+ locations. With ExtremeVPN, you can connect to any location you desire without any interruptions.

• Tap on the Locations 🌐 panel on the left side of the ExtremeVPN application.
• Select and click on your Desired country from the list of options available.
• You will now be connected to that particular country.

This feature allows you to try different cities from a specific country. How to pick one? Here’s how 👇

• Tap on the Locations 🌐 panel on the left side of the ExtremeVPN application.
• Click on the Arrow button next to the locations tab, which will display a list of cities.
• Pick the City you desire to connect to.
• Hooray! You’re now connected to the selected city.

Quantum-resistant encryption is a collection of algorithms designed to stay secure even when powerful quantum computers become widely available outside research laboratories. Want to know how you can connect to quantum servers? Follow these steps here 👇

• Tap on the Locations 🌐 panel on the left side of the ExtremeVPN application.
• From locations, select Quantum Resistant, and it will display the locations accordingly.

• Select the location from the list of options.
• Available locations include the US, UK, Australia, Germany, Canada, and the Netherlands.
• These servers will only work with the UDP protocol, so you must select this protocol from the application.

• Once you do it, you can connect to quantum servers, and you will be more secure from the security gaps on the web.

Worry no more if you face difficulty while searching for a specific location. Want a simple solution to sort the locations? Follow the steps below 👇

• Click the Locations 🌐 tab on the left of the ExtremeVPN app.
• To sort locations, tap on the Sorting button from the top right. You will now get options to arrange them.
• To sort them in an alphabetical pattern, select Sort by Name.

• Locations will now be sorted by Names.

• To sort according to popularity, tap on Sort by Popularity.

• Locations will now be sorted by Popularity.
• To sort locations by ping, click Sort by Ping.

Note:

You must enable this option from the ExtremeVPN application, as this feature isn’t available on default settings.

• Locations will now be sorted by Ping.

Having difficulties finding the servers that work best for torrenting? These instructions will ease the process. Filter the P2P servers by following these instructions 👇

• Click the Locations 🌐 tab on the left of the ExtremeVPN app.
• Select the P2P button icon on the top.

• Once you do it, you can connect to P2P-supported locations.

In our latest update for the Mac application, we’ve introduced a shortcut button that lets users to access their desired streaming apps.

Get started by following these instructions below 👇

• Click the Locations 🌐 tab on the left of the ExtremeVPN app.

• Go to the Shortcuts option and select the Add shortcut.

• Click on Add shortcut once you’ve added all the information.
• A pop-up will appear that will ask for your permission. Confirm it.

• You can now see the newly added shortcut in the list of Custom Shortcuts.
• You’re now connected to the new shortcut.

• The selected streaming site will open up in your browser after some seconds. You can simply access it by logging in to it.

If you can’t find a specific site in your list, don’t worry! You can create your own shortcuts now.

• Click the Locations 🌐 tab on the left of the ExtremeVPN app.
• Go to the Shortcuts option and click on the Add shortcut.
• Once you have entered all the information, click on the Add Shortcut.
• A pop-up will appear on the screen. Confirm it.

• You’re now connected to the new shortcut.
• The selected site will open in your browser after a few seconds.

Enjoying using ExtremeVPN? To enhance your VPN experience further, ExtremeVPN allows you to mark a certain location as favorite to simplify choosing locations.

Here’s how you can do it 👇

• Click the Locations 🌐 tab on the left of the ExtremeVPN app.
• To mark a certain location as favorite, click the Star icon ⭐ next to the locations tab.
• The location is now marked as favorite successfully.

• Tap on the Locations 🌐 tab on the left of the ExtremeVPN app.
• To use the dedicated IP, click Connect.
• You will now be connected successfully to the Dedicated IP.
• If you already use a dedicated IP on another device, you will be prompted to proceed based on your preference.

Want to connect DDoS Protection? Here’s how to do it 👇

• Click the Locations 🌐 tab on the left of the ExtremeVPN app.
• You can see your DDoS IP on the top left of the screen. Click on it to Connect.
• You’re now connected successfully to DDOS IP.
